#21. Mission San Xavier del Bac –The Mission was founded in 1692 by Father Eusebio Kino. The current structure, known as the White Dove of the Desert, was largely designed by Spanish Franciscans and constructed by the local O’odham people. It was completed in 1797. The church’s interior is filled with statuary and murals.
