The Turquoise Trail was created by Trust members Margie Cunningham and Gayle Hartmann. The 2.5-mile-long trail runs through downtown Tucson, leading you past a variety of historic sites and buildings. It begins at the Presidio San Agustin del Tucson museum, where one can pick up a trail guide in the gift shop or from a basket attached to the outside of the building.

The Presidio Museum is offering a Turquoise Trail walking tour on Friday, July 10th, 2020, beginning at 6:30 PM. The tour is slated to last two hours. You can register for the tour HERE. The tour is priced at $20 for non-members and $15 for members. There will be a maximum of ten guests. Masks and social distancing are required. The guide will have a microphone so everyone will be able to hear about our community's remarkable past.

A smartphone app is also available for the trail through Vamonde. Simply download Vamonde to your phone from your app store and then search for "Turquoise Trail". The Turquoise Trail app will begin where you are standing using your phone's GPS and will also give you directions to the next stop along with information about each stop.
